2. Press the clutch pedal all the way down.
3. When the ambient temperature is above +5°C, turn on the starter by turning the key in the ignition switch to position III (without pressing the accelerator pedal). Do not turn on the starter for more than 10 s. If the engine has started steadily, release the key: under the action of the return spring, it will return to position II.
4. When the air temperature is below +5°C, turn the key to position II, this will turn on the glow plugs and the glow plug warning light in the instrument cluster will light up. After the control lamp goes out, turn on the starter.
Attention! While glow plugs are warming up (while the control lamp is on) do not turn on other power consumers, so as not to discharge the battery.
5. If the engine does not start on the first try, try starting it again as described above.
6. If the engine does not start after the second attempt, it is necessary to identify the malfunction (the fuse protecting the glow plug circuit may have blown).
7. A warm engine can be started without preheating the glow plugs.
