Caution! Do not work on a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Always place stable supports under the vehicle. On soft ground, place additional support, such as a board, under the bottom platform of the jack.

Install the jack only in the places marked on the thresholds with stampings 1 (see the figure for the location of the stampings on the thresholds at the jack installation points). The installation locations of the jack are shown by arrows in the figure Jack installation locations.

1. Put the car in first gear and place chocks under the front wheels if you are jacking up the rear of the car. When raising the front end, apply the parking brake and place chocks under the rear wheels.

2. Install the lower support platform 2 (see the picture: Lifting a car with a jack) jack onto a horizontal section of the road.

3. By turning the handle of jack 1, move the upper platform 3 of the jack under the threshold 4. In this case, the vertical part of platform 3 of the jack should fit tightly against the threshold 4.

4. Make sure that the lower support platform 2 of the jack is located exactly under the upper platform 3.

5. Carefully lift the vehicle by turning the jack handle.

6. If you plan to work under the vehicle, place it on support stands.
