1. When sliding and raising/lowering the top hatch cover, pay attention to the absence of excessive noise and dirt. If there are any, open the top hatch and follow these steps.

2. Clean the guides under the outer seal (Ah, the arrows in the illustration) and apply a thin layer of lithium grease G052 147A2 to the working surfaces of the guides (arrows).

3. Inspect the deflector (1 in the illustration) and, especially, its lower part (arrows) for contamination. To remove dirt, use the VAS5128 cleaner. To remove insects from the mesh and frame of the deflector, use a sponge and soapy water (3 drops of washing liquid per 1 liter of water), then remove the insects with a vacuum cleaner, preventing dirt from getting into the car's interior.
