Conducting a road check (Skoda Yeti 5L)

1. During the test drive, perform the following checks.

2. For the engine: power, misfires, idle speed, acceleration, hot start behavior.

3. For the clutch: clutch slippage, pedal resistance, smell.

4. For gear shifting: ease of operation, no "sticking".

5. For DSG transmission: selector lever positions, shift lock, ignition key removal lock, smoothness and serviceability of shifting, display readings.

6. For brake pedal and parking brake: operation, pedal free travel (no more than a third of the full stroke) and braking performance, sideways pull, vibration, grinding, ABS functions.

7. For steering: steering wheel centering, play.

8. For electrical equipment: radio reception and interference, operation of the upper hatch mechanism and multi-function display.

9. For the climate system: air supply, operation of the refrigeration unit.

10. For suspension and wheels: pulling to the side when driving on a road without a slope to the side of the road, noise from wheel bearings, imbalance of wheels, propeller shaft and drive shafts.
