2. Remove the air cleaner cover mounting bolts (1 in the illustration), throw it aside and cover the air purifier to prevent dirt from getting into it. On models with a synthetic soft case (2), remove it from the battery in an upward direction.
12.2. Removing the battery
Unscrew the bolt (4), remove the holder (3) and take out the battery.
3. If necessary, unscrew the bolts (see illustration) and remove the battery holder.

4. Installation is carried out in reverse order. The battery is installed correctly if the middle notch on its bottom flange is opposite the hole in the holder (see illustration). Tighten the battery holder mounting bolts to 9 Nm and the battery mounting bolt to 22 Nm.
