Removal



1. Remove the battery assembly (see the relevant section in this chapter).

2. On vehicles with a Start-Stop system, disconnect from the clips (2) and remove the cover (1), shown in the figure below.

In vehicles with automatic transmission, the electronic transmission control unit is mounted on the battery holder.

3. Unscrew the mounting bolts (4) and (3) and the mounting nuts (1), as shown in the figure below. Tightening torques for threaded connections during installation: 16 Nm (4), 10 Nm (3) and 16 Nm (1).

4. Carefully remove the air filter housing assembly (2), lift the battery support (5) and disconnect the drain hose (if installed), if necessary, remove the battery holder support together with the drain hose.
