Note: The "V2" fan is accessible from the front right footwell.
1. Remove the two plastic bolts (2 in illustration 15.1 Chapter 1) and remove the shield (1) of the climate control unit.
2. To remove the resistor assembly (on models with the "Climatic" system), disconnect its connector (1 in the illustration) and press the lock in the direction of the arrow.

3. Remove the main storage compartment (see Chapter 11) and the air duct to the right footwell (see Section 10).
4. To remove the fan, disconnect the connector (3 in the illustration) its wiring, unscrew the bolt (4, if available), press the lock (2), turn the fan in the direction of the arrow and remove it from the air conditioning system housing.

5. To remove the control unit "L 26" (on models with the system "Climatronic") after removing the fan, disconnect the connector (1 in the illustration), unscrew the bolts (2) and remove the control unit (3). Note: The control unit is not supplied as a spare part.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order. If the fan retainer is damaged, tighten the bolt with a torque of 1 Nm instead.
