Removal and installation of air ducts, deflectors and grilles (Skoda Yeti 5L)

1. To remove the side deflector (1 in the illustration) open it and insert the tool (2) to remove the lock so as not to damage the ribs and hook this tool onto the edge of the deflector (arrow A), and then pull the deflector out in the direction of the arrow (B). To install, press the deflector into the instrument panel, pressing on the frame (not on the ribs).

2. Central deflectors (see illustration) are removed in the same way as the side ones (see paragraph 1), but after pulling them out, you should additionally disconnect the connectors of the SRS indicator lamp and the hazard warning switch.

3. To remove the deflectors in the rear part of the center console, carefully pry them up with a plastic wedge No. 3409 at the fixing points (see illustration).

4. To remove the air duct (1 in the illustration) to the left footwell, remove the lower part of the instrument cluster and the left instrument panel trim (see Chapter 11), remove the driver's knee airbag together with the bracket (see Chapter 12) and unscrew the screw (2).

5. To remove the air duct (1 in the illustration) to the right footwell, remove the main storage box (see Chapter 11) and remove the screw (2). On models with a cooled glove box, pay attention to the correct position of the air hose when installing.

6. To remove the air ducts to the rear footwells, remove the appropriate front seat, center console, and front floor covering connections (see Chapter 11). Lift the floor covering, unhook the air duct from the body and pull it out of the climate control system housing (see illustration). When installing the air duct, first secure it to the air conditioning system housing.

7. To remove the air intake grille, remove the windshield fairing grille (see Chapter 11), disconnect the connector or remove the air quality sensor "G238" (if available, see Section 14), give me the nuts (see illustration) and pull the grille up. When installing, make sure that the gasket is positioned correctly on the grille. Tighten the nuts with a force of 2.5 Nm.
