Note: The "V2" fan is accessible from the front right footwell.
1. Remove the two plastic bolts (2 in illustration 15.1 Chapter 1) and remove the shield (1) of the climate control system housing.
2. To remove the resistor assembly (on models with the "Climatic" system), disconnect its connector (1 on the accompanying illustration) and press the lock in the direction of the arrow.

3. To remove the fan, disconnect the connector (2 on the accompanying illustration) its wiring, unscrew the bolt (4, if available), press the lock (3), turn the fan in the direction of the arrow and remove it from the air conditioning system housing.

4. To remove the control unit "J126" (on models with the system "Climatronic") remove the fan, disconnect the connector (1 on the accompanying illustration), unscrew the bolts (2) and remove the control unit (3).

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. If the fan retainer is damaged, screw in a bolt instead (4 in illustration 9.3) with a force of 1 Nm.
