Siren and horns (Skoda Yeti 5L)

1. High-frequency (H2) and low-frequency (H7) horns are installed in the front, near the left and right side members. To remove the horn, remove the sound insulation under the engine compartment (see Chapter 11), loosen the fastening of the front part of the corresponding wheel arch liner and, when working on the right side of diesel models, loosen the charge air hose. Disconnect the horn connector (see illustration 8.1a), remove the bolt (see illustration 8.1b) and remove the horn together with the holder. If necessary, you can then release the nut and remove the horn from the holder. When installing, tighten the horn nut to 14 Nm and the holder bolt to 20 Nm.







2. To remove the siren (H12) of the anti-theft alarm, remove the windshield fairing and the air conditioning system inlet cover. On models before 05.20101, give away the nuts (3 in the illustration), remove the siren (2) and disconnect its connector.

Note: To remove the siren holder, drill out the bolt (1); at the same time, do not allow chips to enter the air conditioning system. On models from 06.20101, give away the nuts (1 in the illustration), remove the siren with the holder (2) and disconnect the connector. If necessary, remove the siren from the holder by loosening the nut.
