2. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the ignition coils (1, 2, 3, 4). Loosen the ground wire fasteners (arrows). Then, remove the bolt securing each ignition coil to remove it from the cylinder head.

3. Disconnect the fuel injector arrow connectors.
1. For injectors from "N30" to "N33"; 2. For injectors 2 from "N532" to "N535"
4. Use spark plug wrench -3122 B- to unscrew the spark plugs.

5. Check the compression using the VAG 1763 compression tester with an adapter "VAG 1763/1".
(View the original on the website: «Skodabook.ru»)

6. After turning on the starter, crank the engine crankshaft until the instrument readings stop increasing.
Compression values
| New engine, bar | Maximum allowable pressure, bar | The difference in pressure between individual cylinders, bar |
| 16,0...19,0 | 12,0 | max 3.0 |
7. Screw in the spark plugs.
8. Install ignition coils with output stages.
Note: Disconnecting the connectors will cause errors to be stored in the event recorder. After measuring, query the event recorder and clear errors if necessary.
9. Interrogate the engine control unit event recorder.
