A description of the control of a single door lock using a remote control and a metal key is given in Section 1.

Driving with doors not tightly closed is not allowed. To warn the driver about open doors/luggage compartment, there is a corresponding indicator lamp in the instrument cluster, which lights up if at least one door is open or not closed properly when the ignition is on. These indicator lights also come on for a few seconds each time the ignition is turned on to check for proper operation. If a door/luggage compartment is opened while driving, an audible signal is activated together with the indicator lamp. On models with a display in the instrument cluster, instead of the above indicator lights, the display shows a schematic image of the vehicle with the doors, luggage compartment or hood open. If the doors/trunk/hood are opened at a speed of more than 6 km/h, an additional audible signal is given.

If the main lock is faulty or the battery is discharged, the driver's door can be unlocked/locked using a metal key (see illustration 1.3).

After this, as soon as the driver's door is opened, the anti-theft alarm will be triggered (if available). To turn it off, turn on the ignition. You can then open the remaining doors by pulling their interior release handles.

To lock a car if the main lock is faulty, first of all, you should lock the passenger doors one by one. To do this, open the corresponding passenger door and remove the rubber plug from its end (1 in illustration 2.1) with a lock symbol, insert the metal key into the open slot (B) and turn it away from the center of the car (arrow). Replace the plug, close the door and make sure it is locked.

Note: The emergency locking of the tailgate is described in the subsection below. After locking the passenger doors and the tailgate, close the driver's door and turn the metal key in its lock. This will not activate the anti-theft system. Now to unlock the passenger doors, unlock the driver's door and pull the inside release handles on the passenger doors. If the rear door auxiliary locking system is engaged (see below), first pull the inside handle and then open the door from the outside.

Tailgate

Caution: If there is a bracket with a load on the tailgate (for example, with a bicycle), before opening the liftgate, remove any load from it and then additionally support the door in the open position.

Note: Before closing the luggage compartment, make sure that no keys have been left in it or that children or pets have entered it.

The luggage compartment is unlocked by unlocking the single lock (see Section 1).

To unlock the luggage compartment from outside the vehicle separately from the other vehicle locks, press and hold the (3 in illustration 1.1) on the remote control for about two seconds. To open the unlocked tailgate, press the button (see illustration 2.2a) and pull the tailgate up. The operation of this handle is switched off at speeds above 5 km/h and is resumed after the vehicle has stopped and any side door has been opened.

To close the tailgate, grab the hinge on it and pull the door down, then make sure it is securely locked.

If the tailgate was unlocked separately from the other doors, or the main lock was locked before the tailgate was closed, then after it is closed it will lock within 2 seconds, and the anti-theft alarm will then be activated.

In emergency cases (the tailgate or opening mechanism were deformed and jammed as a result of an accident, the main lock was faulty or the electric unlocking drive failed) the locked tailgate can be unlocked from the inside. To do this, provide access to the tailgate from the inside (for example, fold down the backrests of the rear seats), press the handle with a screwdriver until it stops in the direction of the arrow (1 in illustration 2.2b), and then unlock in the direction of the arrow (2). Finally, open the door from the outside.

Additional locking of rear door locks

The rear doors are equipped with an additional locking system to prevent children from opening them while in the vehicle. To prevent the door from being opened from the inside, open it. Turn the additional locking lock with a metal key, turning it towards the center of the car (see illustration 2.3) and close the door. Now the door can only be opened from the outside. To be able to open the door again from the inside, open it from the outside and turn the additional locking lock to its original position. Children or people with disabilities should not be left in a vehicle with the rear doors locked, as children may not be able to get out of the vehicle on their own if necessary (for example, when the interior overheats in summer or when the interior overcools in winter).
