In addition, the VIN can be found on the vehicle data sticker, which is located on the floor of the luggage compartment, to the left of the spare tire niche (see illustration 2a). The same sticker is found in the service booklet included with the car. The purpose of the sticker fields is shown in Illustration 2b, as well as to the left of the sticker in the service book.

Additionally, the VIN is indicated on the identification sticker, which is located on the lower part of the right B-pillar and is visible when the front passenger door is open (see illustration 3). The identification sticker, in addition to the VIN, indicates the engine code, vehicle category and its weight values (top down): permitted gross vehicle/road train weight, front/rear axle load, payload (with driver).

The VIN number consists of 17 characters, its decoding is given below in the example:

5. Engine (IN - petrol 1.8 l 112/118 kW; WITH - diesel 2.0 l 81 kW; D - diesel 2.0 l 103 kW;E - diesel 2.0 l 125 kW; F - petrol 1.2 l 77 kW; J - petrol 1.4 l 90 kW; T - diesel 1.6 l 77 kW).

On a body made for repair, the VIN is highlighted on both sides with the symbols "#" instead of "*".
