Mounting and dismantling of the interior rear-view mirror
1 – a rear-view mirror;
2 - mirror bracket glued to the windshield glass
The interior rearview mirror is mounted on a bracket glued to the inside surface of the windshield. (It is a part of the windshield glass already at the supplier - the glass manufacturer.) The mirror can be mounted on the bracket by attaching and turning it 90°. In the event of a collision, the mirror breaks out of the bracket relatively easily, which also prevents injury.
The plastic casing of the mirror has sufficient rigidity and does not shake when driving.
If the mirror breaks, it must be replaced entirely. The mirror glass itself cannot be changed.
