Disassembling and assembling the steering wheel (Skoda Octavia 1U)

Caution! Do not turn the return ring!

Disassembly

1. Remove the front passenger airbag module.

2. Set the steering wheel to the center position (the wheels are set to move in a straight line).



3. Remove the hex head screw 1.

4. Remove the steering wheel from the steering column.

Assembly

1. Set the steering wheel to the center position.

2. After placing the steering wheel on the steering column, tighten the hexagon head screw 1 to a tightening torque of 50 Nm.
