Note: When replacing lamps, follow the instructions given before the subsection "Replacing Headlight Bulbs" Section 5.


1. To remove the front interior light (1 in illustration 7.1a) pry it up with a plastic wedge and remove the cover (2) or remove the glasses case. Then unscrew the screws (arrows), release the lamp from the frame (3), pull it down and disconnect the connector. After removing the lamp, you can remove the interior lighting lamp from its contacts, remove the sockets (see illustration 7.1b) and remove the reading lamps from them.

2. To remove the rear side interior light, use a screwdriver to pry up its retainer (see illustration 7.2a), remove the light from the ceiling trim and disconnect the connector. To replace the bulb, remove the cover from the rear interior light (see illustration 7.2b).

3. To remove the rear central interior light, release its cover in the places indicated in Illustration 7.3a, press the fasteners (arrows in illustration 7.4b) lamp, pull it out and disconnect the connector. The lamps can be replaced after removing the cover.

4. To remove the glove box or luggage compartment light, use a screwdriver to pry up its retainer (see accompanying illustration), remove the light from the panel and disconnect the connector. If necessary, replace its bulb after removing the light. Removing the lights for the vanity mirrors in the sun visors and the lights for the footwells is done in a similar way. The lamps in the footwells are covered with covers.

5. To remove the signal light in the door, use a screwdriver to pry up its fasteners (see illustration 7.5a), remove the light from the door trim and disconnect the connector. If necessary, remove the cover after removing the light (see illustration 7.5b) and replace its lamp.
