Note: For instructions on removing/installing the auxiliary bracket for mounting the compressor, see Chapter 2.
1. Drain the refrigerant from the refrigeration unit.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see Chapter 2).
3. Remove the refrigerant lines from the compressor (1 in the illustration) and loosen the bolts (3) that secure it, accessible from above.

4. Remove the sound insulation from under the engine compartment of the car (see chapter 11), disconnect the connector (2 in illustration 17.3), unscrew the lower bolt (3) and remove the compressor.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Make sure you have centering bushings in advance (5 in illustration 17.3). Tighten the compressor fasteners to 25 Nm.
