1. Drain the refrigerant from the refrigeration unit.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see Chapter 2).
3. Remove the refrigerant lines from the compressor (1 on the accompanying illustration) and loosen the bolts (3) that secure it, accessible from above.

4. Remove the sound insulation from under the car under the engine compartment (see Chapter 11), disconnect the connector (2 in illustration 17.3), unscrew the lower bolt (3) and remove the compressor.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. First, make sure that the centering bushings are present (5 in illustration 17.3). Tighten the compressor fasteners to 25 Nm.
