2. For a description of how to replace spark plugs, refer to Section 14 Chapter 1.
3. To remove the ignition coil, remove the engine cover and pry the coil with a puller T10094A (on 1.4 l engine, see illustration 7.3a), T10095A (on 3.6L engine, see illustration 7.3b), or T40039 (on engines 1.8 and 2.0 l). Then disconnect the coil connector. On 1.4 and 3.6 liter engines, use tool T10118 to remove the connector lock (see resist. illustration).
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When new spark plugs are installed and the old ignition coils remain, a bead of sealant G 052 141 A2 with a diameter of 1-2 mm should be applied to the connector of the ignition coil from the side of the spark plug (see Figure 14.5 Chapter 1). This lubricant prevents the connector seal from sticking to the spark plug.
Note: On new ignition coils, the spark plug connector is already lubricated.
Connect the wiring in the same places and lay the wiring as it was done before removal.
