Attention! When the expansion tank is opened, hot steam or hot coolant may be released. Cover the reservoir cap with a cloth and carefully unscrew it.
For vehicles with engine codes CRKB, CRVC
Note: Blue = large coolant circuit, red = small coolant circuit, purple = intercooler coolant circuit, brown = heater circuit. The arrows point in the direction of the coolant flow.
Vehicles without auxiliary heater
1. Radiator of the boost circuit: after replacement, change the coolant
2. Radiator for air cooling (intercooler): change coolant after replacement
3. Check valve
4. Coolant pump
5. Cylinder block and cylinder head: change coolant after replacement
6. Expansion tank of the cooling system
7. Filler cap: coolant reservoir
8. Heater circulation pump -V488-
9. Heater heat exchanger: change coolant after replacement
10. Exhaust gas recirculation cooler: change coolant after replacement
11. Coolant temperature sender -G62-
12. Throttle; built into the coolant hose, not visible from the outside; the installation position is not defined, so do not clamp the coolant hose with a clamp (risk of damage!)
13. Cooling system fitting
14. Gearbox oil cooler: configuration option
15. Thermostat
16. Engine oil cooler
17. Radiator of the cooling system: after replacement, change the coolant
18. Air damper unit -J338-
19. Exhaust gas recirculation control motor -V338-
20. Charge air cooling pump -V188-
