Removal and installation the thermostat (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Drain the coolant. Remove the air filter. Unscrew the screws "arrows". Loosen the clamp "2" and remove the air duct "1".

For vehicles with engine letter designation CRKB

Unscrew the screws "arrow" on the left and right. Disconnect the lower part of the air duct "1" from the fasteners and remove.

Unlock the lock in the "arrow B direction" (from above with a screwdriver). Turn nipple "1" in the direction of "arrow A" and disconnect. Remove the thermostat.

Checking the Thermostat

Heat the removed thermostat in a vessel with water.

Installation

Installation in reverse order.

Note: Replace the sealing ring.

Clean and polish the sealing ring mating surfaces. Moisten the sealing ring with coolant. Install thermostat "2" into the thermostat housing. The locking protrusions must enter the guide "arrows".



Fill with coolant.
