If the arrow is in the left zone of the scale, then the engine has not yet warmed up: you should avoid driving at high speeds, high speeds and with a heavy load on the engine.
During normal operation of the car, the pointer needle is in the middle of the scale. When the engine is heavily loaded, and above all when the outside air temperature is high, the pointer may move to the right side of the scale. This temporary phenomenon does not indicate a malfunction until the Overheated A/L is illuminated. At the same time, avoid running the engine at high speeds and high vehicle speeds. For normal engine cooling, the radiator grill must not be obstructed by additional headlights or other equipment.
K / L low level / high temperature coolant under the indicator scale turns on for a few seconds when the ignition is turned on to check the serviceability, and then should go out. On models with a graphic display in the instrument cluster, the K/L lights up only if there is a malfunction or if the coolant level is low. If this K / L does not go out or blinks, then there is a malfunction in the cooling system. On models with a multifunctional display of the instrument cluster, when this K / L is turned on, a message appears on the display "Check out the OJ! See hands. by exp!".
If this occurs when the coolant temperature is high, the engine is overheated. In this case, you should reduce the load on the engine, if possible, turn on the climate system to maximum heating and open the windows. If this does not help, stop the vehicle and let the engine run at idle until the coolant temperature returns to normal. If necessary, turn off the engine and let it cool down. Overheating can happen due to a malfunction of the fan - check its fuse (see chapter 12).
If the C/L lights up at normal coolant temperature, the coolant level is too low. Stop the car, turn off the engine, wait for it to cool down and correct the coolant level (see chapter 1). If the level and temperature of the coolant are normal, the inclusion of K / L indicates a malfunction in the engine cooling system. In this case, do not continue driving with the engine running, call technical assistance.
