The display module/control unit has an electronic anti-theft protection system that operates in conjunction with the instrument cluster. The display module/control unit must be adapted to the respective vehicle using the Tester. The security code is no longer issued. The display module/control unit for infotainment installed at the factory is only adapted to the respective vehicle when switched on for the first time. When subsequently disconnecting and connecting the battery or when removing and reinstalling the display module/control unit for infotainment in the same vehicle, the adaptation to the respective vehicle no longer takes place. When replacing the instrument cluster, the display module/control unit for infotainment must be adapted to the respective vehicle again. The user must have valid rights to use the program for adapting the display module/control unit for infotainment.
