Note: This information applies to Skoda factory fitted models only.

Some models come standard with an anti-theft alarm/engine immobilizer system, while other models may have the system as an option.

Anti-theft alarm

Activation and deactivation of the anti-theft alarm is performed using the remote control (remote control). On models equipped with a single lock, the operation of door activators is controlled from the same remote control. When the doors are locked with a single lock, the alarm system emits a short double beep, accompanied by the simultaneous flashing of all four turn signals. The system is activated after about 25 seconds after it is turned on.

Note: When the system is turned on and the door/hood is not closed, a short beep will sound eight times.

The anti-theft alarm system switches are installed on the hood, all four interior doors and the rear door of the car. In addition, ultrasonic sensors are provided that respond to movement inside the cabin. When any of the switches is triggered, the sound and light alarm is activated, which operates continuously for 30 seconds. Upon completion of the control time, the system is automatically switched off and returned to its initial state.

At the owner's request, the ultrasonic scanning of the interior volume can be disabled. To do this, turn on the system in the usual way, then, after a short time, press the control button again. Disabling the ultrasonic sensors is accompanied by the activation of the turn signals and several beeps of the anti-theft siren.

The anti-theft alarm system is equipped with a main siren switch located at the rear of the engine compartment. To deactivate the system, it is necessary to fold back the protective cover and turn the switch with a special key supplied with the other car keys. After removing the key, replace the protective cover of the switch. To activate the system, simply turn the switch to its original position - the system will immediately operate and must be deactivated using the remote control.

If the alarm fails, it must be switched off using the main switch and the car must be taken to a car service workshop for repairs.

Engine immobilizer

The engine immobilization system prevents unauthorized starting of the car without the ignition key. The ignition key included in the car has a microcircuit with an electronic code embedded in it. When the key is turned in the ignition switch, a special immobilizer sensor reads the code and compares it with the control record and, in case of discrepancy, does not allow the engine to be started.

Data taken from this portal SKODABOOK

The code embedded in the system is stamped on a special label supplied with the keys. This label should be kept in a safe place outside the car. If the key is lost, a replacement can be ordered from a Skoda service center based on the data on the label. If there is no label, the only solution is to completely replace the immobilizer.
