Removal and installation switches in the center console (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

Cars with automatic transmission

Release the gearshift mechanism cover "2" from the clamps. Remove the switches "1" from the bottom "arrow" from the cover "2".

Cars with manual transmission

Caution: When using a pry tool, cover the areas where the pry tool is inserted with regular tape.

Slide the release tool "T30098" from the rear in the middle into the gap between the trim frame and the gearshift lever boot "arrow 1". Using the release tool, carefully release the gearshift lever boot from the center console -arrow 2-. Turn the boot inside out over the gearshift lever handle.



Remove the switches "1" from the bottom "arrow" from the gear shift mechanism cover.

All cars

Disconnect the connectors. Use a small screwdriver to press the locking tabs "arrow A". Separate the strips of switches "1" and "2" "arrow B" from each other.

Installation

Installation in reverse order. Insert the connected switch strips into the mounting hole until the locks click into place audibly.
