Removal
Models produced before 1998.
1. Carefully pry up and remove the plug plate located behind the protective cover of the manual transmission control lever, then unscrew the console trim mounting screw located under the plate.



2. Unscrew and remove the manual transmission control lever handle.

3. Lift the rear part of the console trim, release it from the clips and remove it together with the protective cover of the manual transmission control lever.
4. Pry off the screw cap securing the rear section of the center console; remove the screw.

5. Remove the front and rear fasteners (screws/nuts) console, then remove both sections of the latter from the vehicle.

Models produced since 1998.
1. Remove the storage section installed between the center console and the instrument panel.
2. Pry off the decorative cover to gain access to the front console mounting nuts.
3. On models equipped with electric windows/heated front seats, carefully release the assembly of the corresponding switches from the upper plane of the console, disconnect the electrical wiring.
4. On models with manual window lifts and without heated seats, remove the storage section installed behind the manual transmission control lever.
5. On all models, unscrew and remove the manual transmission control lever handle.
6. Pry off the plug installed in the recess at the rear of the rear section of the center console and unscrew the mounting screw located underneath it.
7. Loosen the front and rear mounting nuts (don't forget about the washers) and remove both sections of the center console from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the components are securely fixed with your fasteners.
