Removal and installation the fuel gauge sensor (1.2L MPI engine) (Skoda Rapid NH1)

Removal

Note: There are two types of fuel gauge sensors installed in vehicles.

1. Remove the fuel pump (see the relevant section in this chapter).

2. Unlock and remove the wires (3) and (4) shown in the figure below.

3. Using a screwdriver, lift up the retaining plates (1) and (2) and remove the fuel gauge sensor (arrow) downwards, as shown in the figure below.

Installation

1. Install the fuel gauge sensor "G" into the wire on the fuel pump and press it all the way up,

2. Connect the wiring harness connector and check that the sensor is positioned correctly.

3. Install the fuel pump (see the relevant section in this chapter).
