Note: If the fuel pump fails, the fuel must be sucked out using a fuel suction device (VAS 5190).
Note: Observe cleanliness rules when working on the fuel supply or fuel injection system.
1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter Body).
Caution. The fuel supply line is under pressure. Before disconnecting the fuel hoses, place a clean rag around the connection. Then release the pressure by carefully disconnecting the connection.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) and the black fuel supply line (2) as shown in the figure below
The original article is located on: SkodaBook.ru
Note: To release the wires, you must press the locking ring.

3. By connecting the adapters together "V.A.G 1318/16" and "V.A.G 1318/17", connect the resulting "fuel pumping line" to the filler neck of the fuel tank.
4. Place the "fuel recovery line" into a suitable fuel container.
5. Using auxiliary wires (A) from the measuring set "VAG 1594/C", connect the battery to the fuel pump contacts as follows:
- Positive terminal of the battery (+) - to contact (1) of the fuel pump.
- Negative battery terminal (-) - to contact (5) of the fuel pump.

6. The fuel pump operates, pumping out fuel.
Caution: To prevent fuel spillage if the fuel container is not large enough, the pump must not be operated without supervision.
