Note: The installation details of the spring and shock absorber are shown in Illustration 1.3.
Spring
1. Remove the wheel.
2. Install the spring compressor (see accompanying illustration), make sure that the spring fits securely into the device's jaws, compress the spring and remove it.
12.2 Removing the spring

3. If necessary, loosen the tension and compress the new spring.
4. Install the spring in place so that its end rests against the stopper on the lower seat (see illustration 12.4a). The lower seat pin should fit into the hole in the lower wishbone (see illustration 12.4b).

5. Loosen the spring and remove the puller.

Shock absorber
6. Remove the wheel and partially remove the wheel arch liner (see Chapter 11). Remove the spring (see subsection above).
7. Remove the upper shock absorber bolts (see accompanying illustration).

8. Remove the lower shock absorber bolt (see illustration 3.19 Chapter 8) and remove it. If necessary to disassemble the shock absorber, follow the accompanying illustration.

9. Unload the rear suspension (see Section 2).
10. Install the shock absorber in place and tighten its upper bolts, then the lower bolts.
11. Install the spring, locker and wheel.
