Note: When installing a new instrument cluster, the ECM data must be transferred to it, otherwise the immobilizer will not work. After replacing the instrument cluster, the keys must also be programmed. Before starting to replace the instrument cluster, connect the diagnostic tool and run the procedure "adjust/replace dash panel insert".
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Extend and lower the steering column until it stops.
3. Unhook the decorative strips (1 and 2 on resist. illustrations), remove the side and center deflectors (3 and 5), as described in Chapter 3. Remove the screws (arrows) and pull out the instrument cluster (4), by pulling on the round segments.
18.3 Attaching the instrument cluster
4. Press the latch (1 per resist. illustrations) and disconnect the connector by pulling the bracket in the direction of the arrow.
18.4 Unlocking the instrument cluster connector
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
