The body of the Skoda Octavia is load-bearing, with a steel frame, consisting of two sections. The rear part, extended under the rear window - with a stepped rear - like a sedan. The trunk lid opens together with the rear window on hinges located in the roof of the car. This allows loading large items.
The body is considered the basis of the entire car, as is usual in all frameless cars, and its number is the registration number of the car. The body frame of all types and their modifications is unified. The equipment.body, of course, differs in individual, modifications (LX, GLX and SLX) interior and exterior finishing.
All steel sheets from which the body is made are galvanized to increase corrosion resistance.
