Fastening the front plastic mudguard

Plastic mudguards are made of polypropylene. They are fixed under the front fenders and protect the lower surface of the fenders from abrasive wear. Of course, they are not waterproof.
Each of the plastic mudguards is secured with nine bolts. All the bolts have slots for a star-shaped screwdriver. Three of these bolts are secured in the holes along the edge of the wing cutout, two bolts to the front bumper, one bolt to the retaining plate, another bolt to the suspension shock absorber bracket and two bolts to the front wheel wing. Of the above connections, seven bolts have plastic union nuts screwed onto them (section A–A, position 2). Two more, which attach the mudguard to the front bumper, are self-tapping and screwed into elastic nuts – expansion nuts (section B–B, position 3).
