The range of models covered includes five-door Hatchback and Estate versions, three-door Van models and two-door Pickup models. The body is made of stamped steel. Most of its components are welded, but the front wings are bolted on so that they can be easily replaced in the event of an accident. The rear doors are equipped with locking devices.

During assembly, the body undergoes a four-stage pre-treatment process. First, a base coat is applied using electrolysis, then a primer coat, then paint and varnish. The underbody is coated with PVC, then a protective wax layer. All frame components, hollow parts and sills are injected with a special liquid wax.

Plastics are used extensively, mainly in the interior but also in external components such as bumpers.
