Skoda Octavia cars use either 14-inch or 15-inch wheels, and, consequently, wheel disks and tires of the corresponding diameter. Each wheel is secured with five bolts with M 14x1.5 thread (M = 120 Nm), the threaded part of which has a length of 27.5 mm and a ball-shaped landing surface with a ball radius of r = 12 mm. The hexagon height is 12.5 mm.
Car wheels are dynamically balanced and it is recommended to check this balance always in the range of 10-15 thousand km traveled.
The maximum permissible value of wheel imbalance is 8 grams, in the outer and inner planes on the rim radius.
Only a calibrated pressure gauge is used for measurement. The maximum permissible wear of the tread pattern simultaneously provides information on the operating conditions of transport devices.
