After replacing the injector, the adaptation code must be written into the engine control unit. When replacing the engine control unit, the "injector adaptation codes" must be transferred to the new control unit. Additionally, check all injectors with respect to "injection quantity correction (IMA)" to ensure that all adaptation data has been entered correctly. If the correct correction values are written into the engine control unit, they must not be re-entered. The adaptation process is described in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode. (The procedure is also described in the "Guided Functions".)
