Caution! To prevent the fuel injection pump from working (precision, precisely fitted parts) in dry friction mode and quickly start the engine after replacing parts, be sure to do the following. If any parts/components were removed or replaced in the fuel system section between the fuel tank and the high-pressure fuel pump, fill the fuel system with fuel before starting the engine for the first time.
To fill the high-pressure fuel pump with fuel, you must follow the following procedure.
The car must be filled with fuel. Connect the tester and turn on the ignition. In the Guided Functions mode, perform Switching on the fuel delivery module. Bleeding air from the fuel system. The fuel pump turns on. Let the fuel pump run for about 3 minutes to ensure that the injection pump is filled with fuel. After filling the fuel system, start the engine: Let the engine run for several minutes at medium speed, then turn it off. Checking the fuel system for leaks. Clear the event recorder entries using the tester. Then perform a test drive with at least one acceleration under full load. Then recheck the high-pressure circuit of the fuel system for leaks
Note: If there is still air in the fuel system, the engine may go into emergency mode during the test drive. Switch off the engine and clear the errors from the event recorder. Then continue the test drive.
Delete entries in the event log using the tester.
