Note: Draining and measuring the amount of lubricating oil from the air conditioning compressor is only possible after removing the latter from the vehicle.


1. Drain the lubricating oil from the discharge and drain holes into a clean lubricating oil drain container as shown in the figure below. Rotate the air conditioning compressor shaft to drain the lubricating oil more completely.

2. Measure and record the amount of lubricating oil in the air conditioning compressor cavity. This record will be needed for the further process of installing the air conditioning compressor on the vehicle.

3. Discard the drained lubricant.
