6. Remove the expansion tank filler cap as described above, then move the heater air temperature control lever to the maximum temperature position.
7. Remove the lower engine shield (Chapter 1, paragraph 8) and place a large drain pan under the front of the car. Unscrew the drain plug, which is located on the back of the metal pipe that connects the lower radiator hose to the water pump, and drain the coolant into the container (photo).
