Removal
1. Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch and turn off all electrical consumers.
2. Remove the additional small item storage container from the dashboard on the front passenger side.
3. Remove the ventilation fan assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
4. Carefully disconnect the wiring harness from the clamps (4) as shown in the figure below.
5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) shown in the figure below from the servo motor.
6. Unscrew the fastening screws (3) and (5) shown in the figure below.
7. Pull the holder (1) together with the servo motor forward as far as possible to disengage the gear engagement.

8. Press the outer grips on the top of the holder (1) in the direction of the arrows, then remove the holder together with the servo motor, as shown in the figure below.

9. Disconnect the servo motor from the holder. To do this, press the tabs of the locks (arrows) outward while simultaneously disconnecting the servo motor from the holder, as shown in the figure below.

Installation
Note.
- As a spare part, the electric motor of the servo drive of the fresh air intake/interior air recirculation flap is supplied installed in the "recirculation" position.
- If necessary, connect voltage to the servo motor and set it to the "recirculation" position.
1. Press and secure the servo motor into the holder.
2. Install on the housing and press down to fix the holder assembled with the electric motor on the housing. The gears should not engage yet.
3. The operations described below must be performed simultaneously:
Close the fresh air damper and hold it in this position.
Insert the servo motor so that the first tooth (A) of the gear wheel (2) of the servo motor fits between the first and second teeth of the toothed segment (1) of the fresh air flap, as shown in the figure below.
Install the recirculation flap so that the alignment marks (arrows) on the toothed wheel (2) and the toothed segment of the flap (3) coincide, as shown in the figure below.
Move and install the servo motor into the housing permanently.

4. Install and tighten the servo motor holder mounting screws to a tightening torque of 1 Nm.
5. Connect the wiring harness connector to the throttle actuator motor. Turn on the ignition and check the functionality of the throttle actuator motor by pressing the "recirculation" button.
Note.
- Make sure that smooth adjustment of fresh air supply and interior air recirculation is possible.
- If the kinematics of the drive gears is broken, it is necessary to turn off the ignition, remove the servo drive electric motor assembly and repeat the operations for its installation.
