Removal
Note: The engine must be completely cool.
1. Open the expansion tank cap to relieve excess pressure in the cooling system.
2. Remove the air filter assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter Intake and exhaust system).
3. Remove the soundproofing coating.
4. Unscrew the fastening screw (1) from the air discharge pipe, loosen the fastening clamps (2) or (3), as shown in the figure below.
5. Unscrew the fastening screw (arrow) of the air discharge pipe, as shown in the figure below.

6. Disconnect the connecting pipe shown in the figure below (arrow), if possible, from the vibration damper.

7. Move the left air intake pipe to the left.

8. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (4) from the coolant temperature sensor as shown in the figure below.
Note.
- Place a container under the connection to collect any leaking coolant.
- Replace the temperature sensor with a new sensor along with a new sealing ring.
9. Remove the retaining clip (3), pull the coolant temperature sensor to remove it from the nipple body, as shown in the figure below. Install a new sensor.

10. Check the coolant level in the cooling system. If necessary, add the required amount of coolant (more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
11. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
