Pin with groove around the entire perimeter (short pin)
Removal
1. Cover the inner race of the tapered roller bearing and the speedometer drive wheel to prevent possible damage and the ingress of chips.
2. Remove the elastic pin with a chisel: place the chisel in the perimeter groove.
3. The satellite pin should be pressed out using a device for knocking out the satellite pin.

Installation
1. The new pin should be pressed into the differential case until it stops.
Removal and installation a pin with a spring without a groove around the entire perimeter, (long pin); pressing out the satellite pin
Removal
When pressing out, the elastic pin is cut off with scissors.
Knock out the remaining part of the elastic pin from the differential box and the satellite journal.

Installation
1. Align the hole in the satellite pin with the hole in the differential box.
2. Drive in a new elastic pin using a mandrel (1) of size "a" = 3.0 mm. as shown in the figure below. The elastic pin must not touch the wall of the clutch housing when turning with the differential installed.
