Position for assembling the disc spring on the inner hinge
1. Disc spring
Position for assembly of disc spring and thrust ring on outer hinge
Press the joint until it stops.
Put on the retaining ring.

2. Thrust ring
Pressing in the inner hinge
Note: Chamfer on the inner diameter of the hub (spline connection) should be directed towards the drive shaft belt.

Tensioning the clamping collar on the outer hinge
Install the collet chuck, eg. "V.A.G 1682" in the manner shown in the figure. In doing so, it is necessary to ensure that the collet jaws fit into the corners of the clamp "arrows B".
Tighten the clamping clamp by turning the screw with a spanner with a calibrated tightening torque (the collet chuck must not be allowed to rotate).

Note.
- Tightening can only be done with a collet clamp, e.g. "V.A.G 1682". because the protective cuff is made of hard material (compared to rubber) and therefore it is necessary to use a stainless steel clamp.
- Tightening torque: 25 Nm.
- Use a wrench with a calibrated tightening torque of "C".
- Check that the thread of the screw "A" of the collet clamp moves easily. If necessary, lubricate it with consistent grease.
- In the case of a stiff screw, e.g. due to contamination of the thread, it is not possible to achieve the force required to tension the clamping collar with the specified tightening torque.
