Note. The hinge must be disassembled when replacing the filled grease, and in case of significant contamination or when checking the raceways of the support balls for wear and damage.
1. Tilt the hub and ball cage.
2. Press out hinge element in -direction of arrow-.
3. Squeeze out the balls gradually from the cage.
Note. The hub and hinge are mutually matched. Do not confuse each other.
4. Tilt the hub out of the cage and over the treadmill to the ball track -arrows-.
5. Check pivot, hub, cage and balls for small indentations (formed due to pitting = pitting) and traces of seizures.
6. Too much play along the perimeter of the hinge can be observed with a variable load of the latter. In such cases, the hinge must be replaced. Smoothing and traces from the rotation of the balls do not necessitate the replacement of the hinge.
7. Install the hub through both chamfers into the cage. Assembly position is arbitrary. Press the balls into the cage.
8. Put the hub with the cage and balls on the hinge to a height.
9. When putting on, make sure that the narrower distance -b- on the hub, after installation, enters a fixed position in the place of the previous wider distance -a- on the hinge. Chamfer on the inner diameter of the hub (slots) should be directed towards the large diameter of the hinge.
10. Install the hub. For this purpose, it is necessary to fold the hub out of the cage to such an extent -arrows- that the balls are at a distance equal to the distance of the treadmills.
11. Pressing on the holder -arrow- with increased force, insert the hub with balls.
