Separation of the outer hinge
1. Clamp the drive shaft in a vice with protective jaws.

2. Unscrew the cuff.
3. Separate the constant velocity joint from the drive shaft using mandrel "A". The mandrel must be installed directly on the crosspiece (coupling) of the outer constant velocity joint.
Hammering the hinge
4. Using a plastic hammer, gently tap onto the shaft until the retaining ring locks into place.
Removal the inner hinge cover
5. Use a mandrel to knock off the hinge's protective cuff.
6. Remove the retaining ring.
7. After removing the clamping clips, move the hinge protective sleeve towards the outer hinge.
