The manual transmission code is indicated on the vehicle data sticker (see Introduction). Designation (e.g. "02Q", 2 in Illustrations 1.1a,d), code and date of issue (see illustrations 1.1bd) The manual transmission is additionally indicated on the manual transmission itself. The code and date of manufacture is an alphanumeric sequence, for example, "LHX 14099". In this sequence, "LHX" is the identification code, "14" is the day, "09" is the month, and "9" is the year (2009) of transmission manufacture.

The gearbox is housed in a cast crankcase attached to the rear end of the cylinder block. The manual transmission housing is equipped with holes for draining, checking and adjusting the oil level, closed with threaded plugs. Rotation is transmitted to the input (drive) shaft of the manual transmission from the engine crankshaft through the clutch assembly. The driven clutch disc is mounted on the splines of the primary shaft. A schematic representation of the organization of torque transmission is shown in figures 1.2a-c. In the 02Q manual transmission, two main gears are used: I - for gears 1st through 4th, II - for 5th and 6th gears, as well as for reverse gear.
