Attention:
  • Unintentional and unexpected movement of the vehicle while work is being performed can cause serious injury.
  • It is prohibited to perform any work under a vehicle unless it is secured against spontaneous movement. Before performing any work under a vehicle with its wheels on the ground, the vehicle must be parked on a level, horizontal surface, its wheels must be blocked, and the key must be removed from the ignition.
  • To perform work underneath the vehicle, support the vehicle with suitable stands. A jack alone is not enough for this purpose. The jack does not prevent the vehicle from moving horizontally and may fail, which could result in serious injury.
  • The start-stop system must be switched off.

Attention:
  • The engine compartment of any vehicle is a high-risk area where serious injury can occur when working.
  • When performing any work, you must act with extreme caution and care, and observe all generally accepted safety regulations.
  • Never take any action that puts your own health at risk.
  • Do not perform any work on the engine or components in the engine compartment unless you have the necessary knowledge and skills. If you are not entirely sure what exactly needs to be done and how exactly, contact the appropriate service company to have the work carried out. Improperly performed work can cause serious injury! Do not open or close the hood while steam is escaping or coolant is leaking. Hot steam or hot coolant can cause severe burns. Always wait until you can see or hear steam and coolant coming out of the engine compartment first.
