The measuring device, placed in a parallel branch of the pipeline, determines the air mass according to the heating wire principle and sets the amount of incoming air with a temperature correction. Taking into account the pulsations in the intake tract, which appear in a multi-valve engine in the lower range of revolutions, this method of evaluation is more accurate compared to the method of measuring the air flow. Revolutions are taken by an induction sensor from a toothed disk on the crankshaft.
The determination of the piston top dead center position, necessary for organizing sequential operation, is carried out by determining the gap between the teeth with a double tooth width on a disk of sixty parts and calculating in the control unit. The phase sensor is a Hall sensor located on the front side of the camshaft controlling the intake valves.
