Removal and installation of the actuator motor of the air recirculation flap "V113"
Heater and air conditioning system with manual control and electric damper drives.
Note: Instead of a potentiometer, the actuator motor is equipped with limit switches.
Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers. Remove the glove compartment of the front panel and its frame on the front passenger side. Unscrew the screws "arrows" (1 Nm). Disconnect the actuator electric motor of the air recirculation flap "V113" pos. "3" from the air intake pipe "2". Disconnect the connector "1".
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: Before installation, check the operation of the flaps and hinge.
For air to enter the passenger compartment, the air inlet flap must be "open". The drive shaft "2" must be adjacent to the stop "1" "arrow", as shown in the figure.
If the actuator motor drive shaft is not in the extreme position, connect the connector and select the mode on the control panel in which the actuator motor is set to the desired position. Then turn off the ignition again. Install the actuator motor on the fresh air duct so that the drive shaft fits into the mounting socket. Route the wiring harness so as to prevent it from coming into contact with moving parts. Connect the Tester, interrogate and clear the event recorder, perform a basic installation in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode. Check the correct operation of the heater and air conditioning module.
Removal and installation the actuator electric motor of the temperature control flap "V68" or the actuator electric motor of the left temperature control flap "V158"
Heater and air conditioning with manual control and electric drives of the flaps - actuator electric motor of the temperature control flap "V68". Climatronic - actuator electric motor of the left temperature control flap "V158". The installation work for both electric motors is the same.
Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers. Remove the foot airbag. Remove the left footwell air duct. Loosen the screws "arrows" (1 Nm). Disconnect the electrical connector "2". Remove the temperature control flap actuator electric motor "V68" pos. "1".
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: Before installation, check the operation of the flaps and hinge.
Install the actuator electric motor "1" on the air distributor housing, with the gear "2" of the motor engaging with the gear "3" of the lever. The long tooth "4" must enter the recess "arrow" on the drive lever. If the gear of the electric motor and the gear of the temperature control flap lever are not in the specified position, connect the connector and select the mode on the control panel in which the electric motor occupies the corresponding position. Then turn off the ignition again.
Route the wiring harness so as to prevent it from coming into contact with moving parts. Connect the Tester, poll and clear the event recorder, perform basic installation in the "Guided Troubleshooting" mode. Check the correct operation of the heater and air conditioning module.
Removal and installation of the actuator electric motor of the right temperature control flap "V159"
Climatronic
Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers. Unscrew screws "2" and remove screen "1". Remove the glove compartment of the front panel and its frame on the front passenger side. Remove the glove compartment cooling hose from the heater and air conditioning module. Remove the right footwell air duct. Unscrew screws "arrows" (1 Nm). Remove electric motor "2" and disconnect connector "3".
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: Before installation, check the operation of the flaps and hinge.
Install the actuator electric motor "1" on the air distributor housing, with the gear "3" of the motor engaging with the gear "1" of the lever. The long tooth "4" must enter the recess "arrow" on the drive lever. If the gear of the electric motor and the gear of the temperature control flap lever are not in the specified position, connect the connector and select the mode on the control panel in which the electric motor occupies the corresponding position. Then turn off the ignition again.
Route the wiring harness so as to prevent it from coming into contact with moving parts. Connect the Tester, poll and clear the event recorder, perform basic installation in the "Guided Troubleshooting" mode. Check the correct operation of the heater and air conditioning module.
Removal and installation of the actuator electric motor of the supply ventilation/recirculation/air intake flaps "V425"
Ciimatronic
Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers. Remove the glove compartment of the front panel and its frame on the front passenger side. Release the wiring harness from the clips. Unscrew the screws "arrows" (1 Nm). Disconnect the actuator motor of the fresh air/recirculation/air intake flaps "1" from the air intake. Disconnect the electrical connector "3".
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: Before installation, check the operation of the flaps and hinge mounting. Make sure that the lever and shafts are correctly fixed in the mounting sockets.
The rotary mount of the electric motor "1" can be installed on the shift lever "2" only in a certain position. If the rotary mount of the actuator electric motor "1" is not in the extreme position, connect the connector and select the mode on the control panel in which the actuator motor is set to the desired position. Then turn off the ignition again.
Route the wiring harness so as to prevent it from coming into contact with moving parts. Connect the Tester, poll and clear the event recorder, perform basic installation in the "Guided Troubleshooting" mode. Check the correct operation of the heater and air conditioning module.
