Follow the procedure for connecting the negative terminal of the battery.
Checking the heating element of the additional air heater "Z35"
Outside temperature below 19°C. Coolant temperature below 80°C. Interior temperature approx. 20°C. Battery voltage above 12 V. Generator load no more than 50%. Engine speed above 450 rpm. Temperature regulator set to extreme position "heating" (Climatronic — high mode selected). Remove left side trim of center console. Using a tester with 100 A current clamp ("VAS 5051B/7"), measure the current consumption on ground wire "1" "arrow".

- Low heating power = 30 A
- Average heating power = 60 A
- High heating power = 80 A
Removal and installation the air intake pipe
Remove the central support of the front panel. Remove the cabin filter. Disconnect connector "4" and release the wiring harness. Loosen the fastening of the heater and air conditioning module and pull it slightly forward. Unscrew screws "2" (1 Nm). Unlock the lock "1" "arrow A" and turn the air intake "3" up "arrow B".
