Attention! The airbag control unit may malfunction if water enters connector -4-.
Tilt the floor covering back so that the drain hose is visible. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Disconnect connector -4- from airbag control unit -J234-. Cover airbag control unit and connector with moisture-proof foil. Place absorbent paper under connection -3- and -6-. Carefully detach bracket -3- from heater/air conditioning unit -1- and coupling -6- from body -5-. Check and clean the drain hose if necessary.
Installation
Installation in reverse order. Push the flexible end -3- up to the stop on the connection of the heater/air conditioner module. The retainer -arrow- of the fitting must engage in the guide -2-. If a clamp was used to secure the drain hose -3-, replace it with a new one. The drain hose must be routed under the wiring harness for the airbag control unit -3-. Insert the drain hose hole -1- into the body until it clicks into place -arrows-. The sealing lip -2- must be in close contact with the opening in the body.
If the edge does not fit tightly, treat the joint between the body and the bracket with silicone sealant.
Note: The drain hose must not be kinked or pinched. Do not pinch the drain hose when installing the floor covering. Follow the procedure for connecting the negative battery terminal.
